Compulsory Education Ages: 6-12 Legal Status: Homeschooling is legal, but children must be excused from school attendance. Section 78 of the Education Act (Chapter 39:01, 1966) states, “A child is excused from attendance at school, if, in the opinion of the Minister of Education, he is receiving excused satisfactory instruction at home or elsewhere.”
